We Say:
Dum biriyani is what the menu reads … but unfortunately, the foodie gang concluded it’s NOT DUM! The biriyani lacks flavor and the aroma of the real dum biriyani. Rice quality is not the best, but was good on quantity. Thus, the briyani was rated just average, because of the fact that they market it as dum biriyani. The chicken fry on their menu was good. Worth trying!
Presentation and style is pretty good, with clean plates and good cutlery.
Service: Can’t complain. Courteous service was offered when the gang visited.
Ambience: Neat and clean, Nice furniture, Air-Conditioned

Simple menu...with just 6 items on it. I had the Chicken Biriyani... Loved it!!
The biriyani had a nice flavour, with chunky & well marinated chicken pieces. Good quality rice which is adequate on quantity with the right amount of masala. Guess, this is the best Thalassery biriyani I've had in Trivandrum!
You should also have the after biriyani - lime tea, which was HOT and just right. I wish they had included it with the biryani charges. Lime tea comes separate at a cost of Rs 5.
Presentation and style is good, with clean plates and cutlery.
Clean Plates and Table Mat

Service: Can’t complain. Courteous service was offered when I visited.
Ambience: Neat and clean, Nice furniture, Air-Conditioned - Could have had some soothing music to compliment the ambience. :)

Phone: 0471 – 2723322, 2724422
Cuisine: Chinese
Pricing: Average of Rs 125 – 175 per dish
Ambience:  Comfy and Casual, Air Conditioned
Parking : Car Parking is scarce- upto 4 cars in front of the restaurant, road side car parking is available but usually crowded
We Say:
Oriental Spice is an average sized and reasonably priced restaurant, ideal for a family dine in. This restaurant has tried to bring in a good Chinese menu suited for our Indian taste buds.
They have a good variety of noodles (Try the rice noodles, if you like long, thin noodles). The side dishes are pretty good too. I tried the veg: & non-veg Chef’s special – was good! They are usually good on quantity – so place your order judiciously.
Presentation and style is good, with clean plates and good cutlery.
Service:  Needs to improve. Orders take time to process, and a mix up could happen during peak hours. Recommend you to go on a weekday, when its less crowded. A good time would be from 9 pm onwards.
Ambiance: Air-Conditioned, decent furniture -The ambiance could have been more authentic though! Not a good idea to tag along a big group due to limited table sizes and space constraint. Ideal group size of 4-6 people is good.
